The Cost of Responsibility

Does it seem to you that many times, when you are given a task that you fulfill you then receive a greater task? Like the parable of the talents, my parents are fulfilling this particular character trait. On their 29th anniversary my mother is becoming guardian of her 16 year old niece. Her sister is moving across the state to take a job, but because my cousin is co-captain of the cheerleading team, she is going to stay in town. So, my parents once again will have not their children living in their house.

Great.

With great power comes great responsibility. (I found a proverb that confirms that, but I don’t know where it is, now…)
